矢吹 健

Ken Yabuki was a Japanese singer and songwriter, born on November 1, 1945, in Kofu, Yamanashi. He passed away on January 19, 2015. Yabuki released his debut record in 1968 and became known as a Monzetsu Kayou singer during the Japanese 'Psych Lounge' era. His music featured a heavy vibrato and an abnormally high tension, creating a psychedelic atmosphere of self-intoxication. Collaborating with writer Takuya Fujimoto, Yabuki conjured a masochistic and dark world, marking a significant turning point in the history of Showa Kayou. His husky voice, combined with a crushing sigh, earned him the nickname "Misty Voice" (ミスティーボイス).
