Arto Lindsay is an American guitarist, singer, record producer, and experimental composer, born on May 28, 1953, in Richmond, Virginia. He has collaborated with a diverse range of visual and musical artists, including Vito Acconci, Laurie Anderson, Animal Collective, Matthew Barney, Caetano Veloso, and Rirkrit Tiravanija. Lindsay has been involved with Carnaval in Brazil for many years, and by 2004, he began making parades. He is also known to be the brother of an unspecified individual.
