Ary Lobo, born Gabriel Eusébio dos Santos Lobo on August 14, 1930, in Belém, was a prominent Brazilian singer and composer known for his contributions to music in the 1940s and 1950s. He passed away on August 22, 1980, in Fortaleza. Lobo recorded over 700 interpretations of his songs, which were embraced by a variety of artists. A strong advocate for roots Northeastern music, he shared a similar style with Jackson do Pandeiro, performing genres such as baião, cocos, and rojões.
