Arzachel was a band that released one album in 1969. They were formed as a reformation of Uriel, which had changed its name to Egg in January 1969 after guitarist Steve Hillage's departure. Following Hillage's exit, the remaining members of Egg signed an exclusive deal with Decca. However, when they were offered the opportunity to record a psychedelic album with another label, they reunited with Hillage under the name Arzachel in June 1969. On their released LP, the band members used pseudonyms.
