Asagaya, born in 1980, is a French multi-instrumentalist musician and songwriter. Since 1996, he has played and composed in various experimental rock, trip-hop, and soul/funk bands. He released his first album, "Light Of The Dawn," on the German label Jakarta Records, alongside artists like Blitz the Ambassador, Kaytranada, and Emancipator. The album was produced by GUTS and features collaborations with Leron Thomas, Lorine Chia, Afrodyete, Jay Prince, and Akua Naru. In addition to his music career, Asagaya works on soundtracks for short films and documentaries and has a long-standing collaboration with Days, Mary May, and many other talented musicians.
