Atban Klann was a hip-hop group from California, USA, which stood for "A Tribe Beyond A Nation." The group was formed by Will 1 X (Will Adams) and Allan Pineda, who met in eighth grade while forming a break-dance crew. The original lineup included Mookie Mook and others, with production input from a future founding member of Crazy Town. They released only one promotional single in 1994, and their album was completed and recorded in the early 90s but was never released due to label politics and the death of the label head in 1995. After leaving Atban Klann, Will 1 X and Allan Pineda joined forces with other members and became part of the Black Eyed Peas. Shortly after signing with a new label, Will 1 X changed his name.
