Atlanta Rhythm Section, often abbreviated as ARS, is an American Southern rock band that unofficially formed in 1970. The band originated from former members of the Candymen and the Classics IV, who became the session band for a newly opened venue in Doraville, Georgia. ARS continues to tour, featuring some of its original members, and primarily performs at festivals and nostalgia-themed concerts.
