АукцЫон (official capitalization) is an experimental rock band from Saint Petersburg, Russia, originally formed in 1978 and initially known by various names, including Блю Бойз, Параграф, and Фаэтон. The band officially adopted the name "Аукцион" on November 18, 1983, and later changed it to "АукцЫон" on October 22, 1988. Their first release, "Рио-де-Шушары," came out in 1986 as a reel-to-reel recording, featuring a live performance in spring 1986 at DK "Niva" in Shushary, Leningrad Oblast. The current lineup includes Leonid Fedorov (vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, percussion), Viktor Bondarik (bass), Oleg Garkusha (vocals, dance, declamation, show, lyrics), Dmitriy Ozersky (keyboards, trumpet, percussion, lyrics), Nikolay Rubanov (saxophones, bass-clarinet, jaleika, keyboards), Boris Shaveinikov (drums, percussion), Mikhail Kolovsky (tuba, trombone), Vladimir Volkov (double bass, keyboards), and Yuriy Parfyonov (trumpet). Mikhail Rappoport serves as the sound engineer. The band has seen numerous former members and directors throughout its history, including Dmitriy Zay
