Aura Urziceanu is a Romanian jazz and folk vocalist, born on December 14, 1946, in Bucharest. She is the daughter of a violinist. From 1966 to 1969, she performed with the Bucharest Jazz Quintet and recorded as its leader in 1971. After marrying the group's drummer, she moved to Canada. In 1972, Aura made her debut on stage at Carnegie Hall in New York with a band. She currently resides in New York, US.
