Aurelio Martinez was a Garifuna singer, songwriter, percussionist, and guitarist from Honduras, born on September 26, 1969. He played a significant role in popularizing the music of the Garifuna people, an Afro-indigenous community in Central America and the Caribbean, alongside Belizean musician Andy Palacio. Aurelio passed away on March 17, 2025.
