Autechre is an English electronic music duo formed in 1987 in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, UK. They are generally considered to be IDM in style, with their music incorporating a variety of genres and styles, including techno, hip hop, ambient, experimental electro, and musique concrète. Autechre utilizes a wide range of digital and analog synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines in their production and is heavily involved with the collective.
