Aventura is an American bachata group formed in The Bronx, New York. The lineup has consistently included members known as Romeo Santos, Henry Santos, Lenny Santos (aka Len Melody), and Max Santos. They are regarded as one of the most influential Latin groups of all time. All members are of Dominican descent, with Romeo also being half Puerto Rican on his mother's side. Aventura was the first major bachata act to originate in the United States rather than the Dominican Republic, and they played a crucial role in the evolution of bachata music, pioneering the modern bachata sound.
