Ayumi Ishida (石田あゆみ) was a Japanese female singer and actress born on March 26, 1948, in Sasebo City, Nagasaki. She passed away on March 11, 2025, in Tokyo. Ayumi had an elder sister, Haruko Ishida (石田治子), who was an Olympic figure skater, and a younger sister, Yuriko Ishida (石田ゆり), who was also a singer. Her brother-in-law was the novelist and lyricist Rei Nakanishi (なかにし礼). Ayumi was married to singer and actor Kenichi Hagiwara (萩原健一) from 1980 until their divorce in 1984. One of her notable achievements includes her 1968 single "Blue Light Yokohama," which became the first million seller for a prolific composer.
