Aziz Balouch (1910-1978) was a singer and guitar player born in Baluchistan. In 1932, he moved to the Iberian Peninsula, where he became inspired by Flamenco and recognized connections between Flamenco and Sufi music. During the Spanish Civil War, he sought refuge in London, where he founded a Sufi Society in 1948. He returned to Spain in 1952 to serve as Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan.
