B6 is a Chinese electronic producer, composer, video, and installation artist based in Shanghai. Active since 1999, he founded an experimental electronic label the same year. Until 2007, he focused on composing and producing avant-garde and experimental electronic music. From 2010 to 2017, he shifted his focus to multi-media installations, video arts, and conceptual arts. In 2014, he began producing and composing classical music soundtracks for films, including the soundtrack for the Shanghai Legend silent film "Spider Cave." Since 2018, he has been involved in composing music for television programs.
