BaianaSystem is a musical project formed in 2009, aimed at exploring new sound possibilities for the Bahian guitar, an instrument created in Salvador - Bahia in the 1940s that played a key role in the development of the electric trio. The name "BaianaSystem" combines "Bahian guitar" with "sound system," referencing the sound systems popularized in Jamaica. The project initially focused on using both new and familiar bases to allow the guitar to take on a "singing" role, engaging in dialogue with the voice. The group gained international recognition in 2016 with the track "Playsom," featured in the soundtrack of the video game "Fifa 2016" by Electronic Arts, which is part of their second album, Duas Cidades.
