Baka Beyond is a world fusion music group comprised of musicians from six countries across the Celtic fringes of Europe and the West coast of Africa. The ensemble is known for its original live sound, blending diverse musical influences. Current members include Martin Cradick (guitar, mandolin, percussion, producer) and Su Hart (vocals, percussion) from the UK, Paddy Le Mercier (violin, whistles, bombarde) from France, Ayodele Scott (percussion, djembe, sogo, ning nong, kongoma) from Sierra Leone, Seckou Keita (percussion, djembe, panlogo, sogo, tama, calabash, kora) from Senegal, Kibisingo Douglas (bass) from Congo, Denise Rowe (vocals, dancer, percussion) from the UK, and Tim Robinson (drums) from the UK. Past members include Eleanor Churchlow (vocals), Sam Djengue (bass) from Cameroon, Mark Pinto (bass), Nii Tagoe (percussion, dance) from Ghana, and Lakh Niasse (drums) from Senegal.
