BANDA 20 DE JULIO DE REPELON is a musical group that originated in 1970 when most of its musicians were part of the Banda 13 de Junio de Repelón. The group officially adopted the name "20 de Julio" during a performance in El Copey, Cesar, which was broadcast on the program Aquí La Costa on Radio Libertad. The band consists of rural men who balanced their agricultural work with music, rehearsing their pieces in the evenings after a day of labor in the fields.
