Banda 20 de Julio de Repelón is a musical group that originated from the members of Banda 13 de Junio de Repelón. In 1970, during a performance at a celebration in El Copey, Cesar, they officially adopted the name Gran Banda del 20 de Julio, as recognized by the program Aquí La Costa on Radio Libertad. The band consists of rural men who balance their agricultural work with music, practicing their pieces in the evenings after a day's labor in the fields to perform in various towns that invite them.
