Banda Dos Pifanos De Caruaru is a traditional Brazilian band hailing from Caruaru, a city in the Pernambuco state of Alagoas. The band was founded in 1924 by brothers Manoel and Benedito Clarindo Biano, and they are known for playing a variety of self-made instruments, including drums and "pífanos" (fife flutes). Although they recorded their first album in 1971, the current line-up consists of the founders' sons and nephews, continuing the family's musical legacy.
