Banda Ionica is an Italian folk group that emphasizes the brass band traditions of Sicily. The music they perform has its roots in Holy Week and funeral marches. Founded in 1997 by Fabio Barovero, a former member of the group Mau Mau, and Roy Paci, the ensemble currently consists of twenty young musicians. They showcase a blend of traditional and original compositions.
