Banda Macho was formed after the disbandment of a previous group. They gained fame for their Spanish cover of a popular song and are known for their sound reminiscent of a specific style. The band parted ways and left CBS in Mexico in 1976. Following the split, the former band's keyboard player and musical arranger established his own group, while Banda Macho's lead vocalist went on to form two new bands.
