**Bio: Banda Raizes** Raízes is one of the most traditional bands in the gospel scene since the early 1990s. Their music is characterized by a strong interaction between vocals and instrumentals, offering a rich, diverse, and contemporary sound. The band's name is derived from a sermon based on Psalm 1, which speaks of the blessed man who is like a tree planted by rivers of water. From their debut album, "Diga Não," the group showcased a unique approach that not only focused on the theme of "Christian life" and congregational singing but also addressed worldly issues such as drugs. Raízes quickly gained national recognition, performing shows across Brazil and receiving acclaim in Brasília, where they consistently attracted large audiences. In 2011, after a ten-year hiatus, the band released the CD/DVD "Sempre... 25 Anos," featuring re-recordings of their greatest hits along with some new songs. The band's origins trace back to 1983 when four teenagers from the Assembleia de Deus Church in L2 Sul—Gladson, André Barcellos, Edilênio, and Moisés—formed a group called FILOS. They participated in various music festivals in Brasília. In 1985, the group transitioned to a more evangelistic repertoire and changed their name to Raízes, with the addition of vocalist Wagner. The group was consecrated by their church on March 14, 1984, and welcomed into the Igreja de Nova Vida
