Barbara Roy is an American vocalist born in Kinston, North Carolina. She was the lead vocalist and a principal songwriter for her group. Barbara began her career in a singing duo with her niece and later played guitar for Inez and Charlie Foxx on their hit "Mockingbird," as well as participating in various recording sessions in New York. In 1973, she joined the group Ecstasy, Passion & Pain. From 1977 to 1981, she continued her career with session work and recorded several solo singles in the mid-1980s. In 1989, she was part of a supergroup. Since then, her vocals have been sampled in various dance tracks. Barbara is also the aunt of notable individuals.
