Barbara Tucker is a prolific and successful soul/dance/house music vocalist known for her six #1 hits on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. She has collaborated with a production team to create dance classics such as "Deep Inside," "Beautiful People," "I Get Lifted," "Stay Together," and "Stop Playing With My Mind." Tucker has also contributed her vocal talents as a backing vocalist for various artists. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she discovered her passion for singing in church and was influenced by her father, Jayotis Washington, a member of a musical group. In addition to her music career, Tucker has acted in various off-Broadway plays, earning the American Theater T.O.R. award. As a dancer, she has choreographed and performed for several dance artists. Barbara Tucker also runs her own business.
