Bareto is an alternative and tropical music band from Lima, Peru, active since 2003. They are renowned for their unique renditions of classic Peruvian Cumbia hits. The band has received nominations for the Latin Grammy Awards for Recording Package in 2012 and 2015. Initially, Bareto began with influences from Jamaican Ska and Reggae before shifting their focus to Amazonian Cumbia. Their album "Cumbia," released in 2008, achieved Golden Disc status in Peru. Following this success, the band toured internationally, performing at venues such as the Montréal International Jazz Festival in Canada and in various countries across Europe, including Portugal, Spain, France, Austria, Sweden, Stonie, and Russia.
