Baris Manço was a Turkish rock singer, songwriter, and television host, born in Istanbul on January 2, 1943. He passed away on February 1, 1999, due to a heart attack. His mother, Rikkat Uyanık, was a famous Turkish singer in the 1940s. During the 1960s, he lived in Paris, where he started a band. Manço is considered one of the most influential pop artists in Turkey and was a founding member of the band.
