Barry Leef is a New Zealand guitarist originally from Blenheim. He began his musical journey in local bands before moving to Wellington, where he formed a band called Simple Image. After two years of performing, the band achieved chart success with their hit song "Spinning Spinning Spinning." Barry later relocated to Sydney, Australia, where he played in clubs and festivals, touring the country with renowned bands such as Bakery and Supermarket. He eventually formed the Barry Leef Band, which became the in-house band at The Sydney Musicians Club.
