Barton McLean is an electronic musician and composer with a 20-year teaching career. He has served as the director of the electronic music and music technology programs at Indiana University-South Bend and the University of Texas-Austin. McLean is known for pioneering the first large-scale commercially available digital sequencer, the Synthi 100, and the sampler, the Fairlight CMI.
