Real Name: Vasilis Soukas Born in 1931 in Kompoti, Arta, Vasilis Soukas was a member of the renowned Soukas musical family. He was the brother of prominent musicians and the nephew and cousin of notable figures in the Greek music scene. From a young age, he played various instruments including the lute, santouri, harpsichord, and guitar, but at the age of 20, he dedicated himself to the clarinet. In 1959, he permanently settled in Athens and worked in all the major centers of folk music until 1992. Throughout his career, he recorded over 4,000 songs, with approximately 200 being his own compositions. He also performed at events, festivals, and radio and television shows, collaborating with significant names in the Greek music industry. His final concert took place at the Megaron Concert Hall in 1993, alongside Ross Daly and Michalis Stavrakakis, and he passed away later that same year.
