Bastedos is a producer known for his re-edits, which he began creating in the late 1990s. Initially, these re-edits were a way for him to make his DJ sets distinctive without the hassle of live mixing two copies of his favorite disco tracks. As demand grew, he started releasing some of these edits in limited quantities under his labels Fools Gold and later Bastedos. He has also produced edits for other labels and occasionally collaborates with other DJs to create unique reinterpretations of his disco favorites.
