Bau is a Cape Verdean musician born in 1962 in Mindelo, São Vicente. He is known for playing the guitar, violin, and cavaquinho, having learned to play and make these instruments from his father. Bau formed a duo with a guitarist and toured and played with him. He is also a cousin of another musician.
