Beargarden was a new wave band from Melbourne, Australia, known for its critical acclaim but lack of widespread success. The band formed after the disbandment of the post-punk group 'The Ears' in 1981, with Ross Farnell taking over on bass from Cathy McQuade. The lineup included Sam Sejavka on vocals, Mick Lewis on guitar, Carl Manuell on drums, and Gus Till on keyboards. Later in the year, Lewis was replaced by Shane Andalou.
