Beaumont Hannant is an eclectic producer known for his work in the music industry during the early 1990s. He began DJing in 1986 after being inspired by hip-hop mixing competitions and was heavily influenced by electro, techno, hip-hop, and indie-rock throughout the late '80s. In 1993, he started his production career with the EP "Tastes and Textures Vol.1" for GPR Records, which included the track "Awakening the Soul," featured on the Positiva Ambient Collection. That same year, he released his debut album "Basic Data Manipulation" (Tastes and Textures Vol.2). In 1994, Hannant recorded three full-length albums—Texturology, Bitter Sweet, and Sculptured—each showcasing a variety of styles. By 1995, he began to diversify his talents, providing remixes and producing indie-folk music, while also founding a duo with his engineer. This duo signed to One Little Indian and released their debut album "Out Of Tune" in 1996. Hannant also returned to his solo work at the end of 1996 with the release of a GPR double-pack EP titled "Notions of Tonality."
