Ben Webster, born on March 27, 1909, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, was an influential American jazz tenor saxophonist. He was also known by the nicknames "The Brute" and "Frog." Webster passed away on September 20, 1973, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He co-wrote the song "I Got It Bad (And That Ain't Good)" and appeared as himself in the 1970 film "Stille dage i Clichy" (Quiet Days on Clichy), directed by Jens Jørgen Thorsen.
