Benny Goodman, born on May 30, 1909, in Chicago, IL, was an American jazz clarinetist known as "The King of Swing." He learned to play the clarinet at the age of 10 and played in jazz bands while still young. In 1934, he formed a band and toured the world, contributing significantly to the development of the "Swing" style of jazz. Benny Goodman passed away from cardiac arrest on June 13, 1986, in New York City, NY. He was also the brother of several individuals, although their names are not provided.
