Bentley Rhythm Ace (BRA) is a duo formed in Birmingham, England, in 1995 by Richard March and Mike Stokes. March was previously a member of Pop Will Eat Itself, and the duo had guest appearances from James Atkin of the indie band EMF. They bonded over their shared financial struggles, often purchasing records from car boot sales. Their live drummers included Keith York and Fuzz Townshend, with whom March had previously played. The band's name likely references the Rhythm Ace line of analogue drum machines produced by Ace Tone, which were distributed in the UK by Bentley Pianos. Bentley Rhythm Ace is known for embodying the Big Beat era and was signed to Skint Records, achieving commercial success with their music featured in television advertisements, while also cultivating an underground following. The group disbanded in 2000 but occasionally performed low-key DJ sets. In 2009, they reformed, were managed by Cut La Roc, and signed with Rocstar Records.
