Bernard Edwards was a renowned bass player, record producer, and founding member of the band Chic. Born on October 31, 1952, in Greenville, North Carolina, he made significant contributions to music throughout his career. Edwards passed away on April 18, 1996, in Japan after a reunion concert titled "Chic Live at the Budokan," which was held for Japanese television to celebrate Nile Rodgers' work as a producer.
