Bert Williams was an Afro-Bahamian-American comedian, entertainer, and songwriter, born on November 12, 1874, in Nassau, Bahamas, British West Indies. He passed away on March 4, 1922, in New York. In recognition of his contributions to entertainment, Bert was inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame in 1996.
