Beyoncé, born on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She first gained recognition as the lead singer of a group before launching her solo career with the album in 2003. She has consistently released music with subsequent albums in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2022, and 2024. Raised in Houston, Beyoncé has also appeared in films such as Dreamgirls (2006) and The Lion King (2019), and directed visual albums including Lemonade and Black Is King. Her music blends elements of R&B, pop, and hip-hop. As of 2025, she has received 35 Grammy Awards from 99 nominations. In 2014, she topped Forbes’ Celebrity 100, and Time recognized her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She is also the older sister of singer Solange.
