Bibi Flash, born Brigitte Gasté on September 9, 1956, is a French singer known for her work in the 1980s. She began her career with a cover of Henri Salvador's "Le lion est mort ce soir" in 1981 and gained significant success in 1983 with her rap song "Histoire d'un soir," which was reminiscent of Chagrin d'amour's "Chacun fait ce qui lui plait." After releasing several singles and auditioning for Laurent Boutonnat's "Maman a tort" (a role that ultimately went to Mylène Farmer), she released her debut album, Imposture, in 1987. This album was produced by Dominique Nicolas of Indochine and Romano Musumarra, known for his work with Jeanne Mas and Elsa. The music video for her debut was praised for its sophistication and showcased her new platinum-blonde punk look. Bibi Flash is known for frequently changing her musical and fashion styles with each release. Starting in 1987, she began writing her own lyrics and continued to create music until her last album was released in 1989.
