**Bio: Bible Black** Formed in 1981 in New York, Bible Black is a hard rock band that should not be confused with the San Diego area group of the same name. The band was established by former Elf and Rainbow members, bassist Craig Gruber and drummer Gary Driscoll, alongside former Shakin' Street guitarist Andrew 'Duck' MacDonald. MacDonald suggested Louis Marullo, who later changed his name to Eric Adams, as the vocalist. This initial lineup recorded a 3-song demo featuring 'She’s Gone', 'Back to Back' (with Mickey Lee Soule on piano), and 'Metal Man'. Marullo left to join Manowar, prompting the band to recruit Jeff Fenholt, the original lead in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' on Broadway. With Fenholt, they recorded a new 4-song demo under the guidance of producer Jeff Glixman, but despite showcasing at the Ritz in New York, they did not secure a record deal. The band continued to evolve, recording additional tracks, including a cover of the Rolling Stones' 'Paint It Black', with producer Felix Pappalardi. Fenholt eventually departed to join Black Sabbath and then Joshua. Gruber joined Gary Moore's band for the 'Victims of the Future' tour, contributing to the 'We Want Moore!' live album. MacDonald and Driscoll persevered with Bible Black, bringing in new vocalist Joey Bellardini and bassist Joe Sopp. They recorded one
