Bienvenido Granda was a Cuban singer and maracas player, best known as the lead singer of the classical line-up of "La Sonora Matancera" during the 1950s. He was born on August 30, 1915, in La Havana and earned the nickname "El Bigote Que Canta," which translates to "The Singing Moustache." Granda passed away on July 9, 1983, in Mexico City.
