Biff Rose was an American comedian and singer-songwriter born on October 15, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 85 in Madison, Wisconsin. Rose began his career as a stand-up comedian and moved to Hollywood in 1966, where he worked as a comedy sketch writer for television. He later transitioned to songwriting and singing. In 1968, he released an album and made 12 appearances on 's The Tonight Show from 1968 to 1970. Rose's music typically features piano and voice with minimal embellishment, although his first three albums included orchestration. His lyrics are known for being humorous and irreverent.
