Big Audio Dynamite was formed by Mick Jones after his departure from The Clash. The band continued to explore the sounds that The Clash had experimented with on the album 'Sandinista,' incorporating breaks, dubs, and heavy sampling. They made their debut in 1985 with the album 'This is Big Audio Dynamite,' followed by 'No. 10, Upping St.' in 1986, which was co-produced by a former bandmate from The Clash. They supported The Clash on their world tour in 1987. In 1988, they released 'Tighten Up, Vol. 88,' and in 1989, 'Megatop Phoenix.' The lineup from 1984 until 1990 included Mick Jones (vocals and guitar), film director Don Letts (effects and vocals), Leo Williams (bass and vocals), Greg Roberts (drums and vocals), and Dan Donovan (keyboards). In 1990, Mick Jones changed the band's name, and the lineup was completely overhauled, with members leaving for various reasons. In 1995, Mick Jones revived the original name, and 'F-Punk' was recorded with new members. With Darryl Fulstow, Bob Wond, and a new vocalist, they recorded an album titled 'Entering A New Ride.'
