Bill Allen and the Backbeats were a rockabilly band hailing from Akron, Ohio, formed in the late 1950s. The band featured Bill Allen on vocals, John Seli on guitar, and Dean Hanley on drums. In recognition of their contributions to the genre, they were inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN, in 2012.
