Bill Quick is the son of a North American father and a Venezuelan mother. He arrived in Madrid in the early 1970s, where he began manufacturing leather belts and other items that he sold at the popular Rastro flea market, a hub for the hippie community. Through his work, he connected with renowned producer Alain Milhaud, who was impressed by his talent and offered him a recording deal. Bill then assembled a group of top studio musicians and friends living in Madrid, including Salvador Dominguez and Chema Pellico (ex-Cerebrum), Rafa Galvez (Vainica Doble), Frank Rojas (Sangre), and Jess Lam (Jess & James), resulting in a collaboration of up to eleven musicians in the studio. This effort culminated in the recording of "Maravillosa gente" (Beautiful people).
