Billy Bond is an Italian-born Argentine singer, producer, and businessman, born in 1944 in La Spezia, Liguria. He began his musical career with the group Los Bobby Cats and later formed a Beat music group. He later embarked on a solo career under the alias Billy Bond "El Rebelde" and performed as a session guitarist, releasing most of his records during this time. Bond became the owner of several bars and music clubs, most notably the jazz club La Cueva de Passarotus, which became a hub for artists and live rock performers. It was there that he met many future members of the local hard rock scene. In the early 70s, he funded the collective from La Cueva and met producer who encouraged him to pursue a production career, leading to the release of albums for La Pesada, as well as for artists like Vida and Cristo Rock. After a terrorist bombing at his club, Bond emigrated to Brazil in late 1974, where he produced for various artists and recorded with others before retiring. In 2018, he reconnected with Argentine musicians and recorded new music.
