Billy Mize was an American steel guitarist, band leader, vocalist, songwriter, and TV show host, born on April 29, 1929, in Arkansas City, Kansas. He passed away on October 28, 2017. Mize was one of the key figures from the golden era of the Bakersfield Sound and was known for his contributions to country music.
