Billy Strange was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor, born on September 29, 1930, in Long Beach, California. He passed away on February 22, 2012, in Franklin, Tennessee. Throughout his career, Billy recorded with notable artists such as Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole, and Chubby Checker, among others. He is also known for arranging Nancy Sinatra's number one pop hit "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'." Billy was married to a singer from 1999 until his death in 2012 and was previously married to an actress/singer from 1954 to 1956.
